Hey FAST Families,

Now that we are underway with our summer season, Fork Union has asked us to send out a reminder about the facility guidelines. We are very appreciative of the opportunity to use their pool and it is important that we all follow their policies.

Fork Union has asked that only swimmers be allowed on the pool pool deck. Parents and family members should plan to wait upstairs in the viewing balcony area or in the parking lot during our practices. Family members are permitted to wait in the front lobby area if they have issues with stairs but we do not want too many people in the front lobby so that we can avoid congestion there. This is the case before and after practices as well. It is especially important to remember that parents and family members may not enter the athlete locker rooms or shower areas with swimmers so that we can protect the privacy of our athletes. Any younger swimmers who need help changing into their suit should plan to arrive to the pool with their suit already on. Bathrooms for parents and family members are available in the upstairs lobby of the Estes Athletic Center.

Families are welcome to walk around outside the building during practice but we do need to remain in the immediate athletic center and parking lot areas. Please do not wander around campus or up to the football fields.

We truly appreciate everyone’s cooperation and understanding. Fork Union has been very welcoming to our team and following these guidelines will help us maintain a great relationship with them.
