Hey FAST Families,

Thank you to everyone who came out for last night's tri-meet! FAST finished second overall behind Culpeper and ahead of Gordonsville. It was another great night of racing for our FAST Swimmers!

As always, a huge thank you goes out to our parent volunteers. Swim meets are only possible because of the time and energy that you all contribute.

We had 145 total event entries last night, 26 of those swims were time improvements from our previous meet and 89 of those races were first-time swims for the season.

We did have 14 disqualifications during the meet but just like last week, they were all simple mistakes that can be easily corrected at practice. We'll continue working on those details at the pool and I will be looking forward to a meet soon with 0 disqualified races.

One of the highlights for me was seeing FAST swimmers earn 9 new Gold Times, bringing our season total to 11. For information about Gold Times and how they are calculated, please visit the “Gold Times” tab on our site or click HERE. As a reminder, every swimmer who achieves a Gold Time earns a custom embroidered FAST towel with their name and the Gold Time(s) they have achieved. Towels will be updated at the end of each summer season making them a special way to celebrate our swimmers' accomplishments.

Last night’s meet results are attached below and we are working on ribbons now. The ribbons will be available at the pool beginning with tonight's practice so please remind help me by reminding our swimmers to check for any ribbons that they earned at yesterday's meet.

Looking ahead, our next meet will be at our home pool @ FUMA. I am excited to see everyone race in a familiar environment! Please remember to declare your swimmer(s) through SwimTopia before the end of the weekend.

Also, a quick reminder about our FAST Car Wash & Bake Sale Fundraiser this Saturday from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM. We need lots of swimmers to come help us wash cars and sell some baked goods. If you're able, please bring baked goods for the sale and help us spread the word by sharing the attached flyer with friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers. This fundraiser plays an important role in helping keep our program affordable and successful and we appreciate everyone's support!
