Hey FAST Families,

We are looking forward to tomorrow night's swim meet! Meet information is below.

Meet Location:
500 Industrial Drive
Louisa, VA 23093

Arrival & Warm-Ups:
Our warm up time is 5:25 PM, so please plan to have your swimmer arrive by 5:10 PM. This will give us time to check in, get organized, and be ready to enter the water promptly.

The meet will begin at 6:00 PM immediately following the National Anthem.

Team Attire:
Please make sure all swimmers arrive with their:

• FAST swim cap
  • We will have more FAST caps at the meet tomorrow for anyone who needs one.
• 2026 FAST team t-shirt
• Plain navy swimsuit or FAST team suit

Don't forget goggles, towels, sunscreen, plenty of water, and anything else your swimmer may need to stay comfortable in the heat.

Team Area:
Our team area will be on the left side of the pool deck as you walk into the facility. We are also welcome to set up in the grassy area just beyond the turn end of the pool.

Please bring plenty of chairs and shade (pop-up tents, umbrellas, etc.), as there is very limited seating and shade available at the pool.

Volunteer Reminder:
Thank you to everyone who has already signed up to volunteer! We are so grateful for your willingness to help make these meets possible.

We are almost fully staffed, but we are still looking for:

• 3 first-half timers
• 2 second-half timers
• 1 first-half sweep judge
• 2 second-half sweep judges
• 1 table worker

If you're available to help, we'd greatly appreciate it!

Meet Theme:
Tomorrow's senior-chosen theme is 4th of July!

Break out your red, white, and blue to celebrate America's 250th birthday! Patriotic shirts, hats, sunglasses, beads, socks, or any festive accessories are encouraged. Have fun with it and show your spirit!

Food & Concessions:
Concessions will be available throughout the meet.

It is expected to be a hot afternoon so please be sure to pack plenty of water and encourage our swimmers to stay hydrated throughout the meet.

Additional Information:

• The heat sheet and FAST entry sheet are attached to this email.
• Please have your swimmer's events, heats, and lanes written on their hand before arriving at the meet.
• There will be a few combined events:
  • Boys and girls relays for each age group will swim together in the same heat.
  • The boys and girls 9-10 100 IM will swim together.
  • The boys and girls 9-10 50 butterfly will swim together.
• We are missing a few swimmers tomorrow, so several swimmers will be swimming up in age group for relay events. Please double check your swimmer's relay and be aware if they are competing with an older age group.
• Please have swimmers check in with the FAST coaches as soon as they arrive and remain near the team area throughout the meet so they don't miss their events.

The meet timeline currently has us finishing around 8:25 PM before accounting for the combined events so we're expecting a decently early finish. If we do in fact finish just after 8, we'd love to get together for an fun team dinner after the meet! This is completely optional and just a fun way to get together outside of a practice or swim meet. We will send out the restaurant location tomorrow once everything is finalized.

If your swimmer is unable to attend or if anything changes with your availability, please let me know as soon as possible so we can make any necessary adjustments.
