I hope you're all having a great week! We have a few important updates as we head into our final stretch of the summer season.

iSwimFAST-a-Thon Update

Unfortunately, our partnership with the online fundraising platform has fallen through so we will no longer be using their system for this year's iSwimFAST-a-Thon.

I want to apologize that this did not work out the way I had envisioned. I know this is a last-minute change and I appreciate everyone's patience and flexibility as we've worked through it.

For any families who had already received donations through the platform, those donations are currently being refunded.

That being said, we are still excited about our Swim-a-Thon this Friday and have the same goals in mind for our team! If you would still like to support the team by sending out our link, I have linked our FAST PayPal account here: https://www.paypal.com/ncp/payment/U9SZTQ4H9D34J. There is also a flyer posted below with a qr code that is scannable and even clickable on the iphone.

When making a PayPal donation, please include the swimmer's family name in the notes section so I can accurately track each family's fundraising total in a spreadsheet.

We will also accept cash or check donations, which can be brought to the pool whenever it is convenient for you.

Most importantly, there is no minimum fundraising requirement to participate. Whether your swimmer raises $0 or $500, we would love to have everyone come out Friday afternoon, swim lots of laps, and help make this a fun event.

One additional reminder for our 2x-per-week swimmers: if you normally practice on Friday afternoons, you are welcome to attend Thursday afternoon's practice as your second practice for the week before joining us Friday afternoon for the Swim-a-Thon.

Drive-In Movie Night

Our team outing to the Goochland Drive-In Theater is planned for this Saturday!

If you are planning to attend, I cannot emphasize enough that tickets regularly sell out before the weekend arrives. Please purchase your tickets sooner rather than later if you'd like to join us.

Volunteer Reminder for Tomorrow's Meet

Thank you to everyone who has already signed up to volunteer!

We are still looking for a few Marshal volunteers as well as a couple of second-half timers for tomorrow's meet.

The Marshal position is a new but great volunteer spot because you'll have deck access throughout the entire meet while simply helping make sure swimmers and spectators aren't running around or entering areas they shouldn't be. Each position, including any meet marshal, will always have the chance to watch their kids swim. We never want to take away your ability to watch the meet.

As always, we couldn't run these meets without our amazing volunteers. Thank you for your continued support!

JSL Championships Volunteer Sign-Up

The volunteer sign-up for JSL Championships is now available and will close this Friday. It is a quick turnaround so please take a look and sign up if you are free.

Please do not to sign up for the Team Leader positions, as those will be filled by our senior swimmers and coaches.
